Wendy Albrecht

I am a current therapist (LMSW) and former educator, blending clinical expertise with a foundational commitment to advocacy. My background as an educator and my deep knowledge of Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) inform my compassionate approach to therapy. I believe in meeting clients exactly where they are, utilizing strength-based interventions, and building trust through validation and honesty. This dedication to lifelong learning and increasing my knowledge of emotional and social challenges drives my commitment to client wellbeing.

My practice is centered on providing therapy to adults aged 18 and older, whether they are new to therapy or wish to continue their personal growth. I help clients navigate common challenges like grief, depression, anxiety, OCD, ADD/ADHD, autism, low self-esteem, and life transitions. To support this work, I incorporate specialized, evidence-based modalities: I am EMDR trained for processing trauma, utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) in grief counseling, and use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to effectively challenge limiting beliefs. I approach every client with unconditional positive regard, working collaboratively and honoring their unique skills and amazing talents.
